Just as Huxley revisited the brave new world, I did it with the Android experience. Which does not mean I am a genius like him I just want to say that the Android experience is fully translated into English and that I want to answer some questions.
I let some questions unanswered the days I’ve written this series:
- LBE Privacy Guard vs. Permissions denied
Well I thought this was more …
As far as I can say (I use both apps to cut the permissions of every installed app) they do not interfere. I use them both and it works great.
None of the apps I’ve removed where essential and my system is still powerful. It is working like a charm. I’ve noticed that there is a lot of junk in the market, which I don’t need at all.
The final words of the Android experience dealt with security and an open minded view on apps. I’ve created a new “category” Hardening Android. The topic is hardening (securing your system), by applying useful settings to essential parts of your system. This guideline is updated from time to time without announcement, so keep looking
I’ve found some apps or widgets that are a kind of useful. I just purchased the smallest internet “flat” available and created ~40M traffic. I use a widget to toggle my internet connection without editing the APNs as other widgets do.
I’ll use this blog to present some useful apps from time to time. Next up will be a little Linux / Gentoo related stuff. So stay tuned!
